And the Blessed Mother is smiling again.... the tale of a bathroom makeover

When we moved into our house over a year ago we just kinda threw things up on the walls. The room that suffered most from this was the girl's bathroom. It kinda just got the leftovers...

See? nothing too special about it. Except for the picture of the Blessed Mother hanging over the toilet. That's just what you need. Every time you go to the bathroom you feel like your mooning the Blessed Mother.
Well, we finally decided that we needed to do something about it.
Here is the girls new and improved bathroom:
TA-DA!
Improved much? I think so!
I made all the wall hangings in order to stay in budget.
These are made out of old t-shirts and the cardboard from the huggies diaper's box. I got the idea from make it and love it. Yeah, I know hers is better than mine.... just don't rub it in!
The Rub-a-Dub-Dub sign was made from trim leftover from my parent's house. I found the M and C at the store, painted them black and hot glued the ribbon on for their bow holders.
Do you think they have enough bows?
The towels I found at target for only $3.50!
I added ribbon to the top of the shower curtain that I found online at JC Penney.
These are baby jars that I cleaned out and hot glued ribbon around.
They make such handy little holders!
And last, but not least.... the inspiration for the whole she-bang:
 The rug!
I found it at target, but then found it cheaper on amazon. ;)
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
The girls like it too. Every time Maggie goes in for a "ba" (bath) she says: cute! cute! it cute! mom, it cute!
Oh, and Mary found a new, respectful, loving home in Eric's classroom!
