Pinterest is the best/worst thing that happened to me in 2012, I am sure of it. We have such a love/hate relationship. I fail at many, many pins that I try however, the good ones are really good. Makes me a glutton for punishment I guess.
So there were two things I found on pinterest that I have been wanting to do for awhile. One is a triple pedestal farmhouse table and the other is the DIY canvas prints. In the span of one week both are done and done!
(I totally made Eric do all of the work on the table by himself, he is amazing and I will not even try to say I lifted my pinky finger to help him.)
I love this table so much. If we went to the store to buy a table, this would be the table I would pick!
The chairs were freebies a family friend scored for us. We just got extremely lucky that the stain of the table and chairs are a close match. Eric is currently working on a bench for the other side.
This is the foam insulation board from Lowes for $12. I have 4 2x3 prints laying out on it. I just wanted to show a pic so you could get a visual of the bang you are getting for your buck. I also did one other one that is hanging in our master. It was my "practice" piece. I mod-podged that one and didn't like how it came out as much. I am not very good at getting the wrinkles out and the mod-podge really enhanced those wrinkles. Not horrible, but not the best. I think it had more to do with the operator. :) I also want to say that the quality is MUCH better in person. the pictures of the pictures do not do it justice. They really don't look that fuzzy. We might need to blame that on my camera or the operator of the camera (not me, j/k it was me!).
Whew! Busy weekend!
Now all that is left for the dining room is some paint, a chair rail, and a wall with shelves for my china. No biggie. Mmmmmaybe we will be done by next year?
Thanks for letting me gloat about how awesome my hubby is. :))

They look awesome! I've been wanting to try the pictures too. Did you use the same adhesive as the tutorial?
I did, a little goes a long way. Also, you want to get a good fold on the corners. I would practice a few times before you actually spray it down.
love the table and pics. praise God for an awesome husband!
Oh Brooke! I love them both! The table! Perfect! And those prints...Beautiful! Good job you two! : ) Pinterest Success!
Beautiful additions and they turned out--hooray! I am so glad you posted the table since a farmhouse table is the big thing I have on hubby's 'to do' list for this year. I am hoping that it will be a good winter project that he can get done before the busy days of spring/summer. I would like a different table to accomodate our growing family since it gets a little tough to fit around our oval table.
Thanks again. Just may have to try the canvas prints too. Very cute!
Oh my gosh I think my jaw just dropped!!! That table is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Everything looks so wonderful!
He needs to have a side business where he makes tables. That is gorgeous!!! If I could change one thing about my wonderful husband, I would make him more crafty with his hands!
